I had been looking at this sport watch for 6 months, and had read the reviews in Runners' World. I felt I had researched well, and my husband ended up purchasing this for me for Christmas. I have yet to be able to use the watch while running because it is very difficult to figure out. I have a master's degree, and use electronics frequently, so one would think I could easily figure this out. I tried several times, and my niece also worked on it for a week. No luck. I had one more person to try, and he had gotten other runners' watches working. It took him several hours, but he did get it working. I have not yet had the time to try it out, but I will say that if I still can't get it to work, it goes back. All I am interested in right now is my time, pace, and distance. Another MAJOR complaint is that the owners manual is not packaged with it! There is a quick start guide that was worthless. I did what it said and got nowhere. I spent over $200 for the watch and footpod, and then I am expected to print out the owners manual on my printer (40 pages!)? To make a long story short, before you use the treadmill you have to loosen up the belt (undoing any factory calibration in the process), lube the running deck, and then re-tighten the belt and somehow get it working correctly again.

I was unable to do the "get it working again" part. The documentation included with the treadmill is inadequate and confusing. To top it off, customer support is difficult to reach. It took several days for Horizon to return my call, and that person couldn't help me. Another several days have passed and I'm still waiting for a call back from somebody who can do more than refer me to the videos on the company website.

After an hour of trying to make this fit, I had to resort to several wacks from a hammer bending the metal to make it fit. The instructions called for two bolts to be torqued to 10 ft. lbs. I used a torque wrench and one of the bolts snapped before reaching the 10 ft. lbs. click. I'm glad this happened at home and not on the road. I would plan on replacing the two 3" bolts with a heavier grade.

I would consider myself as an intermediate jump roper. I've been working out on jump rope for about 7 or 8 months and I've become pretty good over that time. Before using this beaded jump rope I used a speed rope most of the time.

I've used this jump rope for a few weeks now and I haven't had any problems. For me, beaded jump ropes are a lot easier to get into a rhythm with. The handles are comfortable. Much of the time I jump rope bear foot. My Harbinger speed rope can really hurt my feet and it's difficult to get into a rhythm with. That might be because I didn't shorten it enough.

I'm 6'0" even and this jump rope feels like it was made for me. If you are over 6'0" you may want to consider another rope. If I was 6'2" it is probably too short for you.

Not a single bead has fallen off yet, but that doesn't mean they won't eventually. They feel like they are on there pretty good.

I bought one of these when we first adopted our puppy and I was going to sleep in the basement with him while I was crate training him and needed to take him out 2-3 times per night. It was quite comfortable and very convenient and I wound up sleeping on it for about 4 weeks straight twice within 6 months (we adopted 2 puppies within six months!)

Pros:
-- It was fast and easy to set up due to its integrated pump (about 5 minutes top to fully inflate)
-- I really liked the ability to set the firmness of the mattress -- at its firmest, it was more supportive than my real bed. I was impressed that it really held air and didn't need frequent re-inflation.
-- Taking it down is also quick with the big air-release clip.
-- Durable -- it withstood a lot of abuse from my kids who treated it like a trampoline and from my dogs (once fully grown) who felt like it was made for them.
-- Comfort -- we used this in our guest room and our guests were given the option to sleep on a futon or this mattress and they always chose this mattress and usually wound up buying one themselves after they tried it out here.
-- Height -- I'm too old to climb up off the floor and single-height mattresses tend to "bottom out" and not provide enough support.
-- Price -- you can't beat the price for a guest bed and guests don't seem to object.

Cons:
-- It is made of very heavy material and that does tend to make it cumbersome to move around -- you kind of have to roll it as a blob or drag it.
-- Slides easily and pillows fall off the end easily if you don't have to braced against a wall or another piece of furniture.
-- The channels can be felt even through a mattress pad. However, if you buy a foam topper, that solves that problem.

Because of the fact that my kids were very rough on it, it did develop a slow leak after about 5 years. I was never able to find where it was leaking from so I will be replacing it. But it has become a necessity in our house because we don't want to dedicate the space for a permanent bed and it is really nice to be able to take it to beach condos for extra bedding.
